That vessel leake Then there was my favorite horse, "Buster". He always seemed calm and collected. Until the day we were about a mile east on Quarterline Road. When we turned for home, he decided he wanted to beat everyone else back to the stable. That was exciting. Especially the part where he galloped across Boyne City Road without looking either way.
139 2017-10-01 20:15:07 Robert (Bob, Dan) Andrews 48 or 49. Fishing, swimming, collecting petoskey stone chunk from shore east of camp (I still have it). Overnight on horseback, ch Long time ago and memories are sketchy, but counsellor was Jack Landis til his father died. Others in cabin were John Beeman, Rob Swigart, a guy whose family had a home on the point at Harbor Springs. Somebody put a stick in my eye, almost. That was a traumatic accident, but I survived. Another camper at the time was Steve (Corky) Clink. He helped me pass the swimming test the last night before camp ended. The waves were about two feet, but he stood on the dock and urged me on to success. I was about eight years old, still have some mental images, including Corky yelling from the dock.

134 2015-07-12 18:21:01 Oliver Janson I WAS A CAMPER AT CHARLEVOIX FROM APPROX. 1960 TO 1965. - For some reason I thought about Camp Charlevoix several times lately and I just wondered if there was an alumni association or something like that. I have often referred to my experience at Charlevoix. I also remember the being a Charlevoix camper a great experience. I began at Cabin # with a councilor by the name of Kerm Kruger... or something like that. Ken Smith was a GREAT guy. He came to our house near Chicago to personally meet my family and myself and he made the decision to allow me to begin going to Camp Charlevoix at an age one year earlier then normal.
